The Kenyatta University Alumni Association (KUAA) was officially launched under the theme “Reunite, Renew and Rekindle”, in a colourful ceremony led by the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Paul Wainaina, together with the KUAA Interim Board Chair Dr. Patrick Ikiara and KUAA Board Chair Prof. John Muriuki.
The event was graced by the Chief Guest, Dr. Jamleck Muturi John, Chairperson of the Teachers Service Commission (TSC), whose family are all proud KU alumni.
Guests enjoyed inspiring performances by the Mighty KU Choir (16-time national champions) and the vibrant Rombolo Dancers.
In his remarks, Prof. Wainaina affirmed the University’s commitment to supporting KUAA as part of his enduring legacy. As he prepares for retirement, he underscored that strengthening alumni networks and realising the dream of the late Madam Lizzie Wanyoike will remain one of his lasting contributions to KU’s growth.
Tributes were also paid to KU partners, including NIBS and Equity Bank, for their support in advancing KUAA’s vision.
The launch marked a renewed commitment to strengthening alumni networks, supporting students, and showcasing KU’s alumni as global ambassadors of excellence.
