The Director of Criminal Investigations (DCI), Mohamed I. Amin, has urged the Senior Investigations Officers to put into practice their newly acquired skills within their respective units.
In his keynote address, Mr. Amin underscored the importance of the seminar, describing it as more than just a training program.
He noted that the forum served as a platform for sharing knowledge, recommitting to professional excellence, and preparing officers for the increasingly complex challenges of modern investigations.
“Each of you is a beacon of excellence and a custodian of the DCI’s reputation,” he remarked.
The DCI chief stressed that the seminar’s ultimate success would be measured by the quality of investigations, professional courtroom conduct and effective case management.
He called on the officers to embrace mentorship, guiding junior colleagues to foster a culture of professional growth, innovation and adaptability within the Directorate.
“He emphasized that the overarching goal of the program is to enhance the quality of criminal investigations through continuous learning, mentorship, and the integration of modern investigative techniques,” noted the DCI.
Amin further commended the dedication and creativity of participants, despite their demanding schedules, and applauded the NCIA for successfully organizing the seminar.
The closing ceremony was also attended by Sospeter Munyi, Commandant of the NCIA, as well as representatives from the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) Pietro Tilli, Umazi Malingi and Ann Kilimi alongside other senior officers.
