The reigning Kenya Cup champions Kabras Sugar have agreed a one year contract deal with 23-year-old Ugandan- international Philip Wakorach as well as a 3-year deal with former Mwamba player Dan Sikuta.
The deals are aimed at a long term plan to ensure the club remains a force to reckon with during the local Sevens and Fifteens season.
The Ugandan was the Most Valuable Player when Kenya Simbas hosted the Uganda Cranes in the Africa Cup/Elgon Cup return match on July 30 at the RFUEA grounds, Nairobi. His sterling performance saw him scoring two quick back to back tries for Uganda.
He last featured for the Sugar men in 2014 but returned to play for Uganda based Heathens RFC.
“We have completed the signing of Wakorach. He is currently in camp with the other players, having passed his medical test yesterday. He has started training with the team. He brings in vast experience and depth given his different type of play,”
“We have had a lot of issues with the half backs and he comes in to fill the gap as a fly half.”
