Kenyatta University stood still in a moment of profound gratitude, unity and reflection as the 21st Kenya University Students Association (KUSA) Congress and the wider KU community came together to honour Vice-Chancellor Prof. Paul K. Wainaina for his faithful service and enduring legacy.
In a deeply touching gesture, the 21st KUSA Congress presented Prof. Wainaina with a beautifully curated photo collage a timeless memory book capturing cherished moments, major milestones, and shared laughter that have defined his journey with the university.
The presentation was more than a gift; it was a heartfelt expression of respect, love and appreciation from the student fraternity to a leader who has walked closely with them through the years.
The celebrations continued during the Interfaith Thanksgiving Prayer Service, where the University Imam, Sheikh Abdullah Bundid, alongside his team, delivered a special presentation titled “Masha Allah”.
Rich in gratitude, blessings, and prayerful reflection, the tribute honoured Prof. Wainaina’s principled leadership and unwavering commitment to the Kenyatta University family.
Abdiweli Mohamed from the KU Muslim Fraternity offered a soulful Qur’an recitation, gently ushering the congregation into a space of reverence and unity as preparations were made for the day’s sermon.
The Interfaith Thanksgiving Prayer Service stood as a beautiful reflection of the diversity, harmony and mutual respect that define Kenyatta University.
As the service continues, the moment remains a powerful reminder of unity, gratitude, and shared faith a testament to a community that honours leadership with humility and celebrates service with love.
