Ruto Attacks Kenyan Media After TICAD Conference

William Ruto, the Deputy President  has taken a swipe at Kenyan media over coverage of the just concluded Tokyo International Conference on African Development (TICAD) held in Nairobi.

Ruto expressed disappointment in how the media covered the 6th TICAD conference that brought to Kenya 35 heads of state and chief executives of at least 75 major companies.

“We have 35 heads of state & govt, 74 others (UN,WB, ADB) charting Africa’s dev. It is historic. BUT am struggling to find this in our media!, “ Ruto lamented on his Twitter account.

The concluded event was the first TICAD conference to be held outside Japan and more so, in an African country.

A section of the public echoed the DP’s sentiments stating that Kenyan media only thrives on gossip and politics.
