Just a week after Kinisu called it a day and resigned from the post of Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC) chair, Public Service Commission (PSC) has advertised the Chairman’s post.
“Pursuant to Sections 9 (b) and 10 (1) of the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (Amendment) Act, 2015, the Public Service Commission hereby invites applications from suitably qualified Kenyans for the position of Chairperson of the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission,” read part of advert.
The advert requires applicants to have at-least 15 years in ethic and governance, law and leadership.
“The Chairperson, Ethics and Anti- Corruption Commission shall be appointed for a single term of six years, shall not be eligible for re-appointment and shall serve on a part time basis. The allowances payable to the Chairperson, being a state officer, shall be determined by the Salaries and Remuneration Commission,” read the advertisement.
Deadline for potential applicants has been set to be September 28, 2016 as persons with disabilities, the marginalized and the minorities encouraged to apply.
