With these cut resistant gloves you are fine

Once a while, while chopping those onions or while at the warehouse handling those extra sharp materials you need to have protective gear. One of them is this hand glove that actually is cut-proof.

No matter how hard the work is, if personal protection is required, it must be worn to protect workers from work-related injuries and accidents.

The recent cut-proof hand gloves have been branded ‘NoCry Gloves’. The gloves are four times stronger than leather.

NoCry is made polyethylene, glass fiber and spandex, a combination that proves the glove a beast to sharp objects like a knife.

These gloves allow you to slice, dice, and peel without the fear of mixing blood and what you are slicing, cutting or chopping.  In the market, the gloves are selling for estimated $13.

The gloves come in three sizes: small, medium, and large.

Taking care of the NoCry Gloves is pretty straightforward. The gloves are machine washable, but it’s recommended that they’re allowed to drip dry after using mild detergent at temperatures below 104° F. According to NoCry, the gloves can be washed up to 30 times before they suffer any loss of elasticity. Even after that, I can’t imagine the gloves would suffer such a major loss in performance.

A potential issue is some unthreading to spots that may have torn. Any tears will result in spots that begin to unravel and eventually compromise the safety of the gloves. Since these gloves are relatively inexpensive, it would be worth it to get another pair instead of continuing to use an unraveling glove.

Protective equipment reduces the risks to acceptable levels, so it is important that the users know how to use the equipment properly, why and when they need them, how to wear and remove them, and what its limitations are.

Even when employers provide high safety levels for their workers, risks may still remain.

Close contact with chemical substances such as acids, ultra-violet, and extreme temperatures can cause skin diseases such as irritation, burns or even skin cancer.
