Disarray suppurate as MCAs condemn Kidero ejection

It was all chaotic on Thursday as Members of County Assembly decided to use the ‘who is strong’ tactic to bring down a motion.

Cord MCAs roughed up Viwandani Ward Representative Samuel Nyangwara as he tabled a motion to impeach Nairobi Governor Evans Kidero.

The notice of motion  reading had already begun, and as he was doing so, MCAs interrupted Mr Nyangwara  when the MCAs interrupted him and started pushing and shoving him.

That scuffle prompted the sergeant-at-arms to whisk him out of the chambers.

It was not easy as they thought as the scuffle continued with Jubilee MCAs shielding Nyangwara and when the chaos failed to subdue, he was shown the way out through speakers door.

The MCAs accused Mr Nyangwara who is also a Cord MCA, of betraying his coalition and urged him to defect to another party.

Speaking outside the chambers, Mr Nyangwara accused the MCAs of assaulting him.

“They beat me and stole my phone and Sh5,000,” he said at a press conference.

He said the motion is still valid and vowed to table it before the county assembly next Tuesday.
