Who will fly Coalition for Reforms and Democracy (CORD) is the question that is battling in the minds of party loyalist as the party heads continued traveling from corner to corner publicizing their party.
The Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka who was speaking in Mombasa expressed his ambitions to be the next president in 2017 adding that it was his time, the time to be supported.
Kalonzo complained of having given everything for the election of the former president Mwai Kibaki and also backing the Orange and Democratic Movement (ODM) party leader Raila Odinga as he called upon CORD principal to return his hand and support either Kalonzo or Wetangula.
“We must employ sacrifice as a strategy to defeat Jubilee. I sacrificed in 2002 for Kibaki and 2013 for Raila Odinga; it is time for Raila and (Moses) Wetang’ula to do so,” said Kalonzo
His words were echoed by Moses Wetangula who said that Raila should concede and accept defeat having lost elections twice in a row indicating that he would also lose fairly if he was to face Jubilee Party as the flag bearer.
ODM to go its own way.
The word by Kalonzo and Wetangula were sparked by statements by ODM Members of Parliament who are believed to have ignited the fire by tipping ODM to go to the ballot on its own with Mombasa Governor Hassan Joho as the running mate of Raila Odinga.
On Saturday, October 1st, some ODM members of parliament said that the flag bearer would come from the strongest party, terming Raila as the best person to take charge.
