6 Kenyans Killed, 27 Rescued in Al-Shabaab Mandera Attack at Bulla

Six people were killed and 27 others rescued following an Al-Shabaab attack at Bulla public works in Mandera County Thursday morning.

Confirming the incident, Mandera Governor Ali Roba divulged that the outlawed militia group ambushed locals at 2:45am.

“Out of 33 non locals residing in one plot, six were shot dead and 27 rescued by our security officers manning the sector,” Mr Roba reported.

Roba condemned the attack and urged the government to enhance security in the area.

“Six lives are too many to lose. We condemn the attack which comes at a time when locals had started enjoying peace,” Roba said.

Police have launched a manhunt for the group with is believed to have been targeting non–locals living near the Somali border.
