World celebrate no brad day

To many, today is the most important day, where else to others is just a normal day as the world celebrate No bra Day.

13th October marks the national No Bra Day celebration, an event marked to celebrate and create awareness for women and men about breast cancer.

This day only comes once a year, but for some ladies, it is National No Bra Day every day. Some are not a big fan of them in general as they argue that bras were uncomfortable.

“It’s a coming-of-age thing, and it comes in so many designs and fun variations that it’s exciting at first,” one woman said. “But I kind of realized at some point, no matter what type it was, it became uncomfortable.”

But one author has questioned the effectiveness of the campaign noting that single braless day would not make any change.

“I don’t understand how taking off your brassiere for a day does anything to raise awareness for breast cancer. The only thing I think it really does is give men something to ogle over and give women something to giggle about.,” Bonnie Annis, a breast cancer survivor wrote.

“For those of us who’ve experienced major surgery to remove our breasts, bras have become a necessary evil. It’s difficult to wear prostheses without a bra, and socially unacceptable to be a flat-chested woman.

Where does that leave us? I don’t want to seem overly sensitive to a fun-filled social media holiday, but I just don’t get it. What’s the point in going bra-less? And how are funds raised when you remove your lingerie?” She continued.

The breast cancer survivor disapproved the No Bra Day saying that she would participate in the campaign because those who went through surgery can attest the pain the scars bring them.

“I propose we declare a “National Bare Chest Day” where men and women who’ve been through breast cancer could share their battle wounds by making their scars visible for all to see,” she said.
