Neymar pinned at Camp Nou up to 2019

Speculations linking Neymar out of Barcelona are nearing to an end after it was reported that the Brazilian will finally put pen to paper on the new five-year deal he agreed with Barcelona in the summer on Friday.

The Brazilian had been linked with a move to Paris Saint-Germain and Manchester United, with the player himself later admitting talks did take place with the French champions. Barcelona confirmed in July that the Brazilian had agreed to extend his Camp Nou stay until 2021.

On Monday, the Catalans confirmed that the 24-year-old, who joined the club from Santos in 2013, will sign his new terms at the end of the week.

“The act to officialise Neymar’s contract renewal will take place on Oct. 21 at the club’s offices at 3pm,” read the clubs statement.

“As the club have previously announced, Neymar’s new contract with FC Barcelona will end on Jun. 30, 2021.”

His new buyout clause has been fixed at €200 million for the first year of the deal, €222m for the second and will then increase to €250m for the remaining three years.
