Pogba doubles as Unites cruise past Fenerbahce.

The £89 million man, Paul Pogba, doubled against Fenerbahce,  as Manchester United won 4-1 at Old Trafford yesterday during their Europa League game.

After converting the two penalties, Jose Mourinho’s side completely controlled the game and added another two goals to the scoreline thanks to screamers from Paul Pogba and Jesse Lingard – who scored his first European goal for Manchester United. Ex-United hero Robin van Persie scored a late goal against his former employers, but the damage was already done.

Mourinho praises Zlatan

Speaking at his Manchester United news conference on Wednesday afternoon, Mourinho said: “He’s giving us exactly what we need from him, what we expect from him.

“I’m really happy. It’s quite beautiful for me to meet him, I don’t know, five or six years later [after our time together at Inter Milan], and see the same ambition, passion and desire to play and compete.

“I couldn’t be happier, and the guy is really fit and ready to play, so I couldn’t be happier.

“In terms of his influence in the dressing room, obviously he’s somebody the young guys look at, you can see he’s great for them because he can only influence them positively.”

Another mountain to climb

After a drawing with Liverpool, Win Against Fenerbahce, Jose Mourinho will be well aware of the home side’s strengths and weaknesses and the Portuguese tactician will look to take full advantage and counter Conte’s three defender formation.

Manchester United have struggled at Stamford Bridge in the last few seasons and will be determined to fix that record this week.

The Old Trafford outfit will be without Phil Jones and Morgan Schneiderlin for this game. Both players are struggling with fitness issues. Bastian Schweinsteiger continues to train with the youth team.
