Mboya, Oginga and Raila names omitted in heroes names?

The names missed in president’s speech as  heroes and heroines got honored during Thursday’s Mashujaa Day celebrations held at Machakos.

Odinga is highly remembered for his efforts in bringing back multi-party system during the reign of one party system in Kenya, KANU.

On the other hand, Mr Mboya, managed wondrous feats in the form of ‘education airlifts’ which opened up unimaginable opportunities for thousands of Kenyans.

Jaramogi was detained (house arrest) twice by the regimes of President Kenyatta and President Moi.

President Kenyatta recognized the heroes in five phases. In the first phase he honored the country’s “prophets”,  those who rose “against the might of the British Empire”, those who fought with the pen and inspired freedom fighters, those who gave resources and worked beyond its borders and in fifth phase, honored the Kamba hero Muindi Mbingu who was jailed for opposing the destocking policy and Kisoi Munyao who hoisted the independence flag on Mt Kenya.
