Mass Public protest against corruption to take place tomorrow

Kenya Human Rights Commission, through a notice, has announced to carry out an organized protest against corruption on 3rd November, tomorrow, 2016.

“The Kenya Human Rights Commission (KHRC), PAWAWA 254, Transparency International Kenya, Third Way Alliance among other Civil Society Organizations wishes to invite members of your organization to a mass public protest against entrenched corruption in the Kenya Public Sector,” read the statement.

According to the statement, the bodies will assemble at Uhuru Park’s Freedom corner from where they shall march through CBD.

The move, according to the KHRC statement, is a way of expressing their frustration of the wanton theft of state coffer by Kenyan political leadership.

The destination of the protest will be at State House where they will submit a signed petition with specific actionable demands to the head of state, President Uhuru Kenyatta.

“In the Petition we are asking the president to either act on the demands so as to end corruption or RESIGN,’ read another part of the statement.
