Carry your own problems, Ruto tells off Waiguru

Former cabinet secretary for Devolution and Planning Anne Waiguru now faces the corruption saga that she was linked to during her tenure involving loss of close to Ksh 791 M, a figure that hit Ksh 1.6 billion following the shocking revelation by co-accused, JosephineKaburu.

The Deputy president, William Ruto, yesterday told Waiguru to carry her own cross and face the trial for stealing the Kenyans money. This is the first time the Deputy President took the other side on the NYS scandal, and publicly admitted through the stewardship of Waiguru, millions of money was lost.

Words by Ruto came just a  few days after Waiguru, during her defense when she appeared to face Public Accounts Committee, linked Farouk Kibet, Ruto’s right-hand man in the loss of the millions of shillings that had been allocated to the NYS project.

During that time, Waiguru claimed that she has never in person met Josephine Kabura who claimed to have visited her at her home place. Kabura, who had appeared earlier before  Waiguru after evading 3 PAC appearances noted that she was aided o open up to 20 companies by the former CS to transact with NYS.
