GSU used excessive force on UoN students

The report on General Service Unit (GSU) after the officers were captured in a video that surfaced on social media like wildfire has concluded that there was a use of excessive force.

When the video went viral, police boss, Joseph Koome disputed the claims as he defended his men in April.

This was after some section of students went on protests following the re-election of the current SONU chair, Babu Owino, who clinched his fourth term.

Commission of Administrative Justice probe report on the video said that there was no rape as claimed, and the police report was timely.

CAJ officers noted that there is increasing number of students her involved in drug trafficking adding that there is excessive money dished out during campaigns.
