On Tuesday 8th, America will go on the ballot to elect a new person who will take over the Leadership of Barack Obama.
With the only two potential candidates nominees, The Republican Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton of Democrats, some few voters are still undecided on where their vote should land.
The controversy on the most suitable candidate has emerged from some revelations and public stints of one’s behavior that have been exposing the past history of each of the candidate.
Hillary Clinton has been heavily accused by the Republican nominee for using private server when she was in government to communicate to the outside world, saying that such person cannot be trusted with American Legacy. Trump further noted that Hillary health was ‘questionable’ as he also drugged her husband affair in the politics.
On the other hand, the released video on Trump bragging about how it was easy for him to go wit women due to his celebritiness, his take on refugees and black Americans and constant abuse of women have seen potential supporters withdraw their vote and instead backed Clinton or either remained undecided.
The developments so far
HillryClinton was relieved the pressure by the FBI have after the probe on her emails was stopped after the team failed to find any fault in her emails, something that Trump termed as impossible since “Clinton knows she is guilty. The republican has further on different occasions argued that elections are monitored and there are plans ‘to rig’ Clinton into the Oval office.
This continued as Hillary Clinton showed the potential of clinching the President of The United States of America seat, the most powerful position in leadership in the whole world, after she won almost in all debates, and also taking lead in majority of polls when compared to trump.
Hillary is also enjoying the support of the outgoing president of US, Barack Obama, who has been attending various rallies, urging the Americans to Vote wisely, and vote for Hillary.
Most polls have Hillary Clinton in front, but they still remain perilously close.
The latest polls indicate that Ms Clinton’s is between four and five per cent ahead, with a small lead in the key state of Florida.
The date is set
The two politicians will see their fate decided tomorrow as the Americans go to cast their votes. Unlike in majority of elections, the American voting system is special. The candidate is not decided by the number of total votes, but by the number of states that vote him or her in.
A series of elections are held in every state and overseas territory, starting in February, which determines who becomes each party’s official presidential candidate.
The winner of each collects a number of “delegates” – party members with the power to vote for that candidate at the party conventions held in July, where candidates are formally confirmed.
The more state contests a candidate wins, the more delegates will be pledged to support them at the convention.
