Dr. Alfred Mutua today held an interactive forum with residents and leaders of Ikutha Ward in Kitui South constituency was hosted by area MCA Hussein Mwandia, as way of popularizing his movement, Maendeleo Chap Chap.
“I shared with the residents my personal story of growing up in a poor city slum, which is not different from that of other regular children growing up in rural Kenya,” said Mutua.

According to Mutua, his party is a development focused, which he seeks to unroll to all people within the country.
“We need to change the way we do things. We must pursue goals that will increase food production for domestic use, improve the quality of education and focus on creating employment for young people and trade opportunities for many more,” said Mutua.

“Many issues remain key to residents here and to the larger Ukambani community eg clean water, quality healthcare, increased food yield.”
Mutua further promised the residents that there is an upcoming project of road tarmacking to ensure that they enjoy quality road services, reach market in time and make delivery of their produce n market at right time.
“Great Infrastructure is a turnkey to speedy development. Good roads as we know are opening up sleepy townships in all parts of the country'” he said.
“It is critical to build the Kitui-Kibwezi road to tarmac standards. It’s one priority agenda for the people of Mutomo & larger Kitui South,” he added. “Having discussed this matter previously with H.E Uhuru Kenyatta, I am convinced that a process to build the road will commence soon.”
