Furious Tharaka-Nithi residents took to the roads to express their anger following Deputy President remarks.
The Kathwana – Tharaka-Nithi Wednesday said that they were not pleased with William Ruto’s remarks which appeared to suggest the national government does not recognise the town as the county’s headquarters.
Walking up Mati road, they demanded that DP comes out and clarify his statement he made during a fundraiser at Kaare Secondary School in Maara Constituency last week.
The residents further accused the Jubilee government of sidelining them in developments, vowing to stand firm with the opposition during the next general elections.
When the DP made his visit during the fundraiser, Mr Ruto said the government has funded many projects in the county including Sh370 million tarmac roads in Chuka Town.
