Arsenal players should feel guilty, Arsenal legend

Despite Arsenal fighting back  3-0 down to draw at Bournemouth, Thierry Henry believes that their players are right not to feel happy about the result.

Olivier Giroud scored in injury-time to snatch an unlikely point at the Vitality Stadium after Arsene Wenger’s side had been three down with 20 minutes left through goals from Charlie Daniels, Callum Wilson and Ryan Fraser.

Alexis Sanchez (70) and Lucas Perez (75) started the comeback before Simon Francis was sent off with 10 minutes left, but man-of-the-match Giroud said the team was frustrated as they remain eight points behind leaders Chelsea.

“They showed character and played well in the last 30 minutes,” he told Sky Sports.

“It doesn’t matter if Bournemouth went down to 10 men, you still have to come back and we all know that is not easy in this league.

“But the question is why they didn’t start like that? That’s three games away from home now and one point.

“I like the way Giroud answered the question with Aaron Ramsey; if you want to win the league you have to make sure you win at these types of places.

“Yes, we go back to the way they came back into the game and that will be another classic of the Premier League.

“But the bottom line is they didn’t put any pressure on Chelsea when they go to White Hart Lane.”
