Following the tragic accident along Nanyuki meru road which left 11 people dead, the Road Safety association visited the scene of accident.According to David Kiare the chairman of road safety they realized that the bus KAX 998P has a fixed and operational bar just at the core drivers sit , the bus also has fixed pipes for shisha, it has also a dance flour in the middle where the seat which are in form of couches are not fixed with bolts. They also discovered undergarments which is believed to belong to the travelers who had boarded the bus.He also added that the people who were in the bus were traveling naked.Kaire added the bus don’t not have insurance speed governor and inspection documents,
The bus also is fixed with wooden ceiling which they believe absorbs the noise and loud music and sound from that no one can be attracted from outside. He also added that the bus is believed to travel from Nairobi and it was heading to meru county but despite many roadblocks on the way it went unnoticed .Edward Gitonga chairman of speed governors appealed to all drivers to reduce speeding on the roads,they should go for inspection specially breakings.Gitonga appealed also to KENHA to construct a Climbing Lane along the nyanyuki meru road.
