Eight Al-Shabaab suspects were yesterday arrested in Mombasa and weapons recovered.According to Malindi police, the arrested terror suspects are believed to have links with the Al-Shabaab.
The four of the suspects were identified as Sultan Ali Sultan, Shami Shamsha Mohamed, Imran Hasssan Ahmed and Nasur Sultan Mbbaraka.
Police have of recent warned that terror suspects may take the Muslim fasting as an opportunity to cross the border and carry out attacks.
Malindi has been one of the highly monitored areas after few cases were reported from that region, something that made the Kenya Defense Forces to carry out an operation at Boni forest so as to eliminate possible threat.Kenya has been heavily fighting Al-Shabaab terror group in support of Amison group.
