Ali Kiba, the Tanzanian music star was ever involved in bitter differences with Zari’s husband and Bongo Music star, Diamond has surprised many when he has opened up to his fans rallying them to help vote for Diamond in all music he was nominated.
Ali Kiba’s act has been termed by many people as “an outright noble gesture.”The “Usineseme” star was speaking on Planet Bongo Show on EATV when he spilled the beans to his fans that he would be happy to see all his fan base vote for Diamond.
Diamond has been nominated for a BET Award in the category of Best International Act Africa. The event’s gala will take place on June 26 this year..
In 2016 January, Ali Kiba had claimed that Diamond Platnumz has been everything within his capability to suppress Kiba’s international breakthrough.
Once, Platnumz was quoted by Tanzanian media as saying that his decision on music air play was highly honored by many international Medias.
“If I decide a Tanzanian’s music video won’t be played on certain international media, it won’t see the light of day. Many international television stations listen and subscribe to my opinion. I have however not given any negative review for a Tanzanian artiste; though I can if I so wish.”
In an interview on XXL’s 255 show, Ali Kiba refuted those claims saying that talent are personal and no one can make such decision since the talent speaks for musicians and helps them get airplay.
“He doesn’t carry the talent of everyone with him; each singer has his own talent, and has the right to showcase his work. Music nowadays is done for business; so, it would be unfair for only one person to determine if a country’s singers’ music videos meet the threshold to be played on international media – considering we put a lot of money in producing those videos.”
