Archbishop Sapit urges CORD to suspend the Anti-IEBC March

Bishop Jackson Ole Sapit has joined the debate on the removal of IEBC commissioners. The Archbishop says although CORD may have genuine reasons to have IEBC reconstituted, they have to use the right channels to do so.

The newly elected Archbishop of Anglican Church of Kenya called on the Opposition to suspend anti-IEBC protests. The cleric said that only dialogue will solve challenges the country is facing. He also requested Jubilee and IEBC to open to dialogue.

He observed that the anti-IEBC protests had often turned rowdy and unmanageable, leading to massive damage of property and escalating into fights.

Archbishop Sapit said the country risked plunging into chaos if it goes into the next elections without resolving the stalemate over the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC).

Bishop Sapit succeeded the outgoing ACK Archbishop Eliud Wabukala.
