Arsenal secure Tierney & Luiz signatures while Giovani joins Tottenham

Premier League spending for the summer was 1.41 billion pounds falling short of 2017 record 1.43 billion pounds.  Arsenal and Totenham were the busiest teams.

Spurs secured the services of Argentine midfielder Giovani lo Celso and Ryan Sessegnon. Their London rivals Arsenal strengthened their defense with the signing of Kieran Tierney from Celtic and David Luiz from Chelsea.

Alex Iwobi secured a move to Everton as City brought in veteran goalkeeper Scott Carson on loan from Derby. Watford broke their transfer record to bring in Senegal international Ismaila Sarr from Rennes as Andy Caroll returned to Newcastle on a free transfer from West Ham.

Burnley secured the services of Danny Drinkwater on loan from Chelsea until January
