Avengers: Endgame to be Re-Released

Even before it finishes its run across theaters, Marvel has announced that the movie will have another release, in an effort to beat Avatar’s box office record.

Marvel studios president Kevin Feige said that the second release of Avengers: Endgame will have additional footage that didn’t make it into the initial film. The company however said that it will not be available in Imax format.

The second Endgame will have deleted scenes, a tribute, and a few surprises, Feige said.

Avatar has been the highest-grossing movie ever for nearly a decade, with $2.78 billion in global ticket sales. Avengers: Endgame has earned $2.74 billion for the two months since its release, it therefore needs around $44 million to be crowned the highest grossing movie of all time.

With the hashtag #WhateverItTakes, marvel fans have been active on social media in an attempt to rally fans to go and watch the movie, so as to increase its box office numbers.

The twenty-second film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Endgame features an ensemble of superheroes, including: Iron Man, Captain America, Thor, Hulk, Black Widow, Captain Marvel and Ant-Man.

Comic-book enthusiasts are known to be unpredictable, and Hollywood executives are watching closely to see how this will affect the industry.
