Moments after Devolution CS Eugene Wamalwa and Water CS Simon Chelgui took off from Mogotio, two men were were caught stealing relief food from the Sub county office where the it had been stored.
As the two guys were busy loading the relief food to the motorcycle ,two hungry women could be seen with sacks trying to borrow maize from them but the men couldn’t listen. one woman could be heard saying in,swahili ” Aki akuna ata kidogo inanguka “
CS Wamalwa in an interview with journalists warned that if caught stealing ,selling or misusing relief food one would face full force of the law.
We followed the motobike rider from the Office store to an agrovate in the middle of the town where he unloaded the relief food.
Baringo county being a county which is hard hit by drought which led to loss of lives,the government provided relief food to the residents though there has been complain that the food doesn’t reach the targeted needy people.
