BOMET COUNTY GOVERNMENT LAUNCHED 60 MILLION UHC PROGRAM AS BENEFICIARY

Bomet County Government in Conjunction with NHIF Bomet Branch has launched a Universal Health Care which is targeted to help more than 8000 families with their dependents which will make the number to 50,000 who will receive treatment without paying anything and this program will continue without any disruption Speaking during the Launch Bomet County Governor Hillary Barchok said that his Administration has set aside 60 million in this financial year for the program and they have paid NHIF six month and they will be making sure they have no arrears for this beneficiary to continue enjoying healthy service without any problem.

He added they will add the number to 10,000 this month and he calls churches to help him to selected the needy people so that those enjoying UHC are one who is not able to pay anything and to make sure those benefit with this program are among those  19,000 families from Bomet county benefiting from national government UHC program.  He thanks all our partners, county assembly and national government for supporting this program. He added the program was stopped by the pandemic and they have learnt on how to handle the situation and make sure the money allocated for this program is always available.Joseph Fambai NHIF Manager Bomet say they will continue working together with Bomet county government saying the program will help a lot since even them they get some individual who came to them crying for help and them working together with Bomet county government more resident will be able to access health services courtesy of Bomet county Government.

Father Ambrose Kimutai of Segemik Parish in Tegat Bomet county thank the Governor for this project saying was one things they were going with Late Laboso promising the resident during come and it’s good the governor has fulfilled what they promised and he say he is ready to help the county to get the needy people since as church they know most of them and this program will end financial health problem to them. He calls the residents to continue to support Barchok during his term since he has good vision for this county.Beneficiary led by Henry Kitur and Safina Musuni thanks the governor for this move saying they have been suffered a lot but this NHIF cards they get will help a lot their families Safina saying she has five children’s and grandchildren’s who are depending on her and this cards will easy some of the burden and financial  strain she undergo through. Kitur who is also a person with disability says this card is a big thing to him and he thanks the governor and calls the national government to consider them as persons with disabilities.
