Daniel Karaba, the chairman of the Senate Parliamentary Committee on Education has said corporal punishment should be reintroduced in schools in order to contain the increased cases of indiscipline currently witnessed in Kenyan institutions. The sentiments by the Kirinyaga senator come following a wave of unrests that has hit secondary schools across the country with devastating effects.According to Mr.Daniel Karaba,re-introduction of canning in schools would end strikes which are causing damages and loss of school property.
