Britain’s Prime Minister Theresa May arrived in Kenya’s Jomo Kenyatta International Airport at 6.30am on Thursday ready for a bilateral talk with president Uhuru Kenyatta at the country’s State House.

Being shadowed by a host of business moguls and investors, the Premier’s visit is aimed at striking economic deals with Kenya and the rest of the Dark Continent.

May is the second British woman Prime Minister to tour Kenya for the first time in 30 years after Margaret Thatcher toured the country.

The PM will hold a Joint Communiqué with President Kenyatta at the State House scheduled to take place at 11 on Thursday.

According to sources, PM May’s itinerary includes meeting President Uhuru Kenyatta, and  visiting British troops and a business school in the country before ending the trip with a dinner hosted by president Kenyatta.

“I am proud to be leading this ambitious trip to Africa and to become the first UK Prime Minister in over 30 years to visit Kenya,” said Mrs. May said earlier.

May will wind up her 3-day African Tour in Kenya after visiting South Africa on Tuesday and Nigeria on Wednesday consecutively.
