Ramadhan Yahya Hussein, a 26-year-old individual, has been apprehended for distributing child pornographic materials, following the diligent efforts of detectives from the Anti-Human Trafficking and Child Protection Unit (AHTCPU) in Mombasa.

Acting on information received from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC), detectives tracked down and arrested Hussein in the Majengo area.

He is accused of disseminating child pornographic content through his Gmail account and engaging in the trade of Child Sexual Abuse Materials (CSAM). “Hussein has been distributing child pornographic materials via his Gmail account and trading in Child Sexual Abuse Materials (CSAM),” stated DCI.

Following his arrest, Hussein guided detectives to his residence in Likoni Maweni village.

A comprehensive search resulted in the seizure of two mobile phones, a memory card, and several identification documents.

“The recovered items are now undergoing forensic analysis to determine the extent of his online child exploitation activities,” DCI added.

Hussein remains in police custody as the investigation proceeds.
