China’s Counsellor Wang Jianging Bids Farewell to UDA’s Hassan Omar, Commits to Strengthening Kenya-China Ties

China’s Counsellor Wang Jianging on Monday bade farewell to United Democratic Alliance Secretary General Sen. Hassan Omar at the party headquarters, Hustler Plaza. Wang’s tour of duty to Kenya has come to an end after serving at the Chinese Embassy in Kenya for four and a half years.

During the period after the 2022 general elections, Wang maintained a cordial relationship between Kenya’s UDA and China’s ruling Communist Party of China (CPC) that has continued to strengthen the ties between the two countries.

According to the United Democratic Alliance Sen Omar hailed the strong ties between the two parties and undertook to strengthen the party-to-party collaboration, saying the two countries share a lot in common in areas of leadership, governance, and development.

“China and Kenya have a lot in common historically and will continue our comradeship towards greater global justice and a fair global economic system. We will continue strengthening our ties for the betterment of the citizens of our two nations,” said Sen Omar.

“Wang indicated that during his tour of duty, he witnessed the UDA Party assume the reigns of government and undertake its progressive socio-economic transformation popularly known as the Bottom-Up Economic Transformation Agenda (BETA),” UDA said on an X

Counsellor Wang Jianging was accompanied by Mr. Li Dezheng, Second Secretary and the Third Secretary, Mr. Xie Zheng.
