A cross section of Kisii coffee society members have accused their management committee of mismanagement and demanded for a replacement.
Kisii County minister for cooperatives, Esman Onsarigo noted that their complaints were genuine. He commended them for demanding an audit report as one way of holding office bearers to account.
The members demanded that the committee be dissolved and an interim committee put in place for three months to pave way for fresh elections.
The members expressed fear that they may have to repay loans if a petition sent to president Uhuru Kenyatta for a waiver will not go through.
