Security is tight at the All Saints Cathedral ahead of a memorial service for Bob Collymore, former Safaricom Chief Executive Officer. Collymore, 61 died on Monday and was cremated on Tuesday.
“As a mark of respect for our cherished leader, Safaricom will be closing all shops countrywide Thursday, between 10.30am to 2.30pm to enable Bob’s wider family to reflect on his life,” read a statement. It also urged guests to wear bright and colourful clothes to celebrate Bob.
Unconfirmed reports indicate that President Uhuru Kenyatta is set to attend the memorial service.

Collymore had served Safaricom CEO since 2010, until his demise. He is survived by a widow Wambui Kamiru and four children
