Speaking today during a graduation ceremony, Dr Fred matiang’i has warned universties aginst losing charters if involved in graft.
The CS spoke during the first graduation of the Cooperative University of Kenya on Friday.
The Education Cabinet Secretary Fred Matiang’i warned that universities that admit and graduate unqualified students will also lose their charters.
The CS who has shown relentless fight against exam irregularities has also caution universities from awarding politicians certificates not qualified.
This stan warning comes as the country prepares to proceed for general elections in 2017.
The education CS has said that such people will and universities will not be spared.
He also condemned the rampant expansion of universities.
Matiang’i added that the institutions will only be allowed to set up satellite campuses after approval from the Ministry.
