COUNTY ASSEMBLY VETS KERICHO DEPUTY GOVERNOR NOMINEE

Kericho County Assembly’s appointments committee today vetted deputy governor nominee Lily Ngok at the assembly chambers.

Led by the committee chair who is also the speaker, Domnic Rono and assistant chair Hezron Ngetich (Majority leader) the panel took three hours to vet Ngok who is the current CECM for education and hails from Kipkelion East sub-county.

Ngok had a difficult time answering questions from the panel especially on the county government flagship projects. She has been serving as education CECM for the past 11 months.

On her part, Ngok said if given a chance she will work with the governor to ensure the issue of unemployment is dealt with, saying that they will have a database of all the graduates and their courses across all the sub-counties.

The education CECM was nominated for the DG position by Kericho governor Paul Chepkwony two weeks ago, following the death of former deputy governor Susan Kikwai who died of Covid-19 related complications.
