The probe on National youth Ksh 1.6 billion, after increasing from Ksh 791 million following Josephine Kabura new revelations, today failed to progress after suspect Jedidiah Wangari skipped to appear in court.
Wangari is among 9 others, including Josephine Kabura, who face charges of money laundering.
Despite the existence of a warrant of arrest on him, Wangari failed to turn up in court, forcing the adjournment of the court session.
When she appeared before the PAC, Kabura noted that she had highly transacted with the ministry for devolution and Planning, which was headed by then, Cabinet Secretary Anne Waiguru.
A day later, Waiguru told PAC that she had never met Kabura despite constant mentioning, in her affidavit (Kabura), that they met severally.
The war on the scandal seems to weigh heavily on the former CS after the Deputy Vice President, William Ruto, told Waiguru to take her load by herself after she linked Farouk Kibet to the NYS scandal.
