Dr. James kilika, an associate member of Kenya Institute of Management together with Tonny Mellow CEO at Bizna have today echoed the words of many leaders and education advisers to youth that the Kenyan they should not sit and wait for the jobs to come on their way.
Kilika was speaking today during the morning show at KUTV, Rise Today where he said that many learners do not go an extra mile to be their own boss as they “wait for the silver spoon” to come on their way blaming them on not planning.
“If you plan well in entrepreneurship you escape risks associated,” Kilika said. ”I encourage youths to start new ventures without waiting or time wasting. Focus on job creation, not job seekers”
Speaking during the same show, Tonny Mellow, also noted many people fear the risks associated in business, meloow also added that he has been practicing business since he was 6.
Mellow when asked about entrepreneurship he quickly noted that many people don’t fail in business because there are no clients, but because they have been doing the wrong thing.
According to Mellow, a lot of people get into agribusiness without knowledge hence they get surprises within the business but he advised young people to carry out enough research of what they want to do.
“To young people, do a sole search before going through agribusiness,” Mellow said.
