Director of the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI), Mr. Mohamed I. Amin, has called on all DCI officers to prioritize continuous improvement in service delivery to meet public expectations and provide the best possible services.
Speaking in Mombasa, Mr. Amin emphasized the importance of professionalism, integrity, and collaboration within the DCI and with sister services to enhance the fight against crime, particularly economic crimes.
Mr. Amin urged the officers to enhance their efforts to ensure the public receives the highest quality of service.
‘Professionalism and Integrity in service to the public is the bare mimimun that is required of every DCI officer. Be good ambassadors of the DCI in all you do at your stations and handle all your cases in a timely manner’, said Mr Amin.
The director highlighted the importance of inter-agency collaboration, encouraging DCI officers to support other services seeking specialized assistance from the DCI. The Director also commended the officers for their relentless efforts in combating criminal gangs, drug trafficking, and the sale and distribution of psychotropic substances, among other crimes.
He underscored the importance of sustaining these efforts to maintain a safe and secure nation, acknowledging the officers’ dedication to making a difference in communities across the country. In his closing remarks, Mr. Amin challenged the officers to embrace self-development by pursuing both professional and academic courses.
He emphasized the need for continuous learning to stay ahead in handling both existing and emerging crimes, urging the officers to remain vigilant, adaptable, and knowledgeable in their roles.
