The Directorate of Criminal Investigations George Kinoti is investigating a senior counsel based in the coastal region on allegations of fraud.
Confirming the incident the Directorate of Criminal Investigation in coastal region Wellstone Njiru said they are investigating a serious issue involving foreign investors and how the shares of the founder of the famous Papilio Restaurant were transferred without his consent.
Speaking after a closed-door meeting with officials from the office of the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) he said the investigation has been going on for quite some time and it is at an advanced stage.
According to Njiru, they suspect an accountant and two children of a German investor Wilfred Guenther Herbert Osser were involved, noting that they are likely to involve Interpol since the two siblings’ suspects in the transfer of the shares are out of the country.
