Demonstrators call for end of PSV ‘Madness

A group of demonstrators took to streets today along Ongata Rongai following the recent increase in the number of accidents caused by PSV vehicles.

The activists demanded that the Public Service Vehicles drivers change from behaviors of neck-breaking speed, overlapping ‘madness’ and harassments.

Demonstrations were not only physical but also electronic.  Kenyans on twitter went on to expressed their appreciation for music, graffiti, and general arts but could not hesitate to reprimand them for their behaviors.

These demonstrations came few days after Multimedia University of Kenya students (MMU) went on demonstration following the death of their college.

The student killed in the Langata Road accident, identified as Cynthia Akoth, met her death when a city-bound bus veered off the road and overturned along the busy Langata Road in Nairobi, killing four and injuring several others.

Ms Akoth was rushed to Kenyatta National Hospital in critical condition, but she succumbed to her injuries. She was a First Year, first semester student who had gotten admission to Multimedia University of Kenya early September, 2016 to pursue a bachelor’s degree in Applied Communication.
