Deputy president receive hostility on his way to Kandunyi

The deputy President William Ruto received hostility from youths on his way to Kandunyi when they denied him access to that road.

The DP was forced to use an alternative route to Kanduyi Constituency, where he was to address a rally Monday.

This came after youth barricaded the Mumias – Bungoma road, protesting what they termed poor leadership by Jubilee administration.

The youth were chanting anti-Jubilee slogans while singing praise for CORD principals, Raila Odinga and Moses Wetangula.

To prove their anger, they tore Jubilee-branded T-shirts on the road, rendering the route impassable.

“We refuse to be addressed by Jubilee leaders who have neglected us for long. We are now enlightened, and vow to rally our support behind the opposition on August 8 general election,” a protester was heard saying.
