Diaspora Welfare, Investment Opportunities Discussed by KEDASA Chair and Diaspora Affairs PS

During Diaspora Time Mr. Bernard Maina, Chairperson of the Kenyan Diaspora in South Africa- KEDASA, called on Diaspora Affairs Public Secretary, Ms. Roseline Njogu at Diaspora Kenya.

During the enlightening discussion, Mr. Maina highlighted forthcoming events focused on the diaspora in South Africa, which are designed to present the extensive investment opportunities that exist in both Kenya and the host nation.

The Principal Secretary and Mr. Maina also discussed the well-being of Kenyans residing in South Africa, while seeking methods to advocate for the rights and welfare of the diaspora community.

According to the State Department of Diaspora Affairs the KEDASA Chairperson commended the success of the Mobile Consular Services exercise held in South Africa earlier this year, which enabled Kenyans to access essential Government services brought closer home.

The meeting highlighted the State Department for Diaspora Affairs’ dedication to promoting strong collaboration and partnerships with the Kenyan diaspora globally through close cooperation with organizations such as KEDASA.

The State Department for Diaspora Affairs is dedicated to fostering strong, strategic partnerships with the Kenyan diaspora globally.

It aims to ensure that the interests and welfare of Kenyans living abroad are well represented, while also promoting their integration into national development.

Some of the key elements of the State Department of Diaspora Affairs commitment include; Diaspora Welfare, Investment Opportunities, Mobile Consular Services, Collaboration with Diaspora Organizations and Cultural and Economic Diplomacy.

The State Department of Diaspora Affairs is committed to making government services more accessible to Kenyans abroad through initiatives like mobile consular services.

These services bring essential services such as passport renewals, birth registrations, and other key government functions directly to the diaspora communities.

The State Department of Diaspora Affairs said that it has its focus on creating a mutually beneficial relationship between the diaspora and the Kenyan government, ensuring that Kenyans abroad are fully engaged in national development and their well-being is prioritized.
