The director of Ekeza Sacco Bishop David Kariuki Ngari also known as Gakuyo has reportedly been arrested by DCI sleuths at JKIA. He was stopped from boarding a plane leaving the country.
In a video clip seen by KUTV, the preacher warped in controversy claimed to be unaware of why he was apprehended.
He further suggested that this was an act of revenge and that he was happy at the possibility of appearing before a judge to clear his name.
“They say I cannot leave the country. I’m at JKIA. I just think there is some revenge somewhere. I’m happy I might get an opportunity to see the judge and be told what case I have. Right now I’m at the DCI airport,” Gakuyo explained.
In 2020, numerous victims of his alleged fraudulent land/real-estate dealings lined up at the DCI headquarters along Kiambu Road, to file criminal complaints against the preacher-land baron. He has since been under the radar of law enforcement for the Ksh 1 billion loss.
He unsuccessfully vied for MP in Thika Town Constituency under Uhuru Kenyatta’s Jubilee Party.
