When issues of misunderstanding arise between two people who are in love with each other,it is expected that they sit down and work out their problems. However,it is exactly the opposite.

Just last week,a man was shot dead in Garden Estate,Nairobi over a love affair gone sour. The already married man was found with a lady by her boyfriend in their house prompting a confrontation that saw him loose his life.

That notwithstanding,a KDF officer recently took the life of his girlfriend before turning himself in over allegation of infidelity.

Elsewhere in Karen, Nairobi, a British man is being accused of shooting his girlfriend following which he presented himself to the police.

All this begging the question, have we lost the ability to solve issues amicably as a society?

Chrispas Koinange Wawire ,a psychologist, explains that such cases are on the rise due to insecurities and anger within one individual that are later imposed to the less vulnerable since they have no channel to pass them out.

According to Wawire the worrying trends call for the government to legislate laws that will see those involved in such cases dealt with appropriately.

This will curb the increase of such cases that are alarming in the country.
