Former Arsenal, Tottenham and Manchester City striker Emmanuel Adebayor has joined Turkish side Istanbul Basaksehir on an 18-month deal.
The Togo international – who has been in action at this month’s African Cup of Nations – has been on the hunt for a new club since the summer after his contract with Crystal Palace expired.
The 32-year-old had been deep in talks with Lyon earlier on in the January transfer window, but that fell through.
However, Adebayor has now found a new side after agreeing to join Istanbul Basaksehir – who are currently second in the Turkish Super Lig, two points behind Besiktas.
Istanbul Basaksehir will be the ninth club of Adebayor’s career to date.
