Don’t try monkey business, Nkaissery warns those marking KCSE

The Interior  Cabinet Secretary Rt. Joseph Nkaissery has warned the people involved in marking exams against trying Monkey business during the exams.

The Interior Ministry was involved in providing security to ensure that the results were not leaked, as the Education Ministry aimed at accomplishing its goal – to deliver fair and credible results.

“CS Matiang’i and I started this journey in March to bring credibility to the Kenyan exams,” Interior CS Nkaissery said as he addressed the people during the release of 2016 KCPE results.  “We resolved that for the KCPE 2016 to be credible that the exam had to be secure,”

“We ensured that even the media were not aware of the release of the results'” CS Nkaissery said. “And we want to warn those marking Kenya Certificate of Secondary Exams (KCSE) not to try monkey business.”

“I want to congratulate CS Matiang’i and his team for exceeding expectations,” CS Nkaissery added. “We will never go back to that time when pupils are given results they didn’t deserve.”
