On Thursday, February 27, 2025, the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) participated in the Digital Transformation Public Sector Forum and Awards (DTPS) 2025 held in Mombasa, alongside significant stakeholders from both the public and private sectors.

This forum, aimed at promoting digital solutions in governmental operations, drew in experts and leaders committed to fostering innovation and enhancing efficiency.

The theme of Driving Efficiency through Cross-Government Digital Collaboration provided a platform for the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) to discuss the digital transformation journey of the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions (ODPP), which began prior to the COVID-19 pandemic.

In his address, the DPP emphasized the remarkable advancements achieved with the Uadilifu Case Management System, a digital innovation that has fundamentally changed the manner in which the ODPP manages case files. In contrast to the former manual system, which he characterized as antiquated, laborious, and cumbersome, the Uadilifu system has significantly enhanced the efficiency of file processing, leading to a substantial reduction in turnaround times.

The DPP also emphasized how the system has improved the working relationship between the ODPP and the Judiciary, particularly with the filing of charge sheets.

“The Uadilifu system has proven to be an essential tool, allowing us to enhance our efficiency and collaboration with other key agencies, in the criminal justice sector” said the DPP.

The DPP encouraged other security agencies and governmental organizations to adopt digital platforms, emphasizing that these tools are essential for facilitating smooth operations across multiple sectors.

He also advocated for ongoing cooperation with stakeholders to guarantee the effective nationwide implementation of the Uadilifu system, which he believes will enhance efficiency within the justice sector.
