Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) has ordered Director of Criminal Investigations to immediately investigate Migori fracas.
Through a memo dated today, 4th April 2017, seen by KUTV digital to Mr. Ndegwa Muhoro signed by Nicholas K. Mutuku, Deputy Director of Public Prosecutions addressed the issue as matter or urgency.
“We have noted with deepest concern the incidence of violence reported in both Electronic and Pint Media which occurred during ODM rally in Migori on 3rd April 2017 wherein a number of people were injured and property damaged,” the Memo read in part.
Mutuku noted that, immediately, urgently and thoroughly DCI should investigate the violence relating to Orange Democratic Rally.
“I have been directed by the Director of Public Prosecutions to direct you to immediately and urgently commence thorough investigations into the incident and submit the resultnat file for perusal and directions.”
